Why You Should Never Use an IR Panel Without a Thermostat

Most people think an infrared panel is just a white plate that gets hot. They look at the wattage, they look at the price, they buy it on Amazon, they screw it to the wall and leave it plugged in. Then they complain that it consumes too much. The truth is simple. The panel is only 30% of the system. The thermostat is 70%. An infrared panel heats differently than anything you had before. A gas radiator heats air, so it needs to run for hours to warm up the whole volume of air in the room. An infrared panel heats solid objects directly with light rays. In 10 minutes your floor is warm, in 20 minutes your walls are warm.
