CBD oil is used as a natural remedy for a variety of ailments. Although it extracted from the cannabis plant, the oil does not contain the Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a psychoactive cannabinoid substance that usually causes the “high” sensation that is associated with marijuana. It is due to this that oil CBD is preferred by many who want to be relieved from pain without experiencing some mind-altering effects.

The extraction of CBD oils is started by first removing CBD from the cannabis plant then diluting it with a carrier oil such as coconut or hemp seed oil.

All cannabinoid compounds, including CBD, attach themselves to certain receptors when taken to the body to produce effects. The human body also produces its own cannabinoids, it also has two types of cannabinoid receptors known as the CB1 and CB2. The CB1 are available throughout the body but are majorly found in the human brain. In the brain, CB1 take care of coordination and movement, pain, emotions, mood, thinking, appetite, and memories. The CB2 are majorly found in the human immune system and they affect the inflammation and pain.
